Bachelor of Science in Music Production
 
                    
                                    The Bachelor of Music in Music Production at Mercer University’s Townsend School of Music is designed for students with a deep passion for music but who may not see themselves primarily as performers. The Music Production degree combines the basic musicianship courses with a full array of music production and industry courses. Students will also take several courses in the School of Business to help expand the student’s business knowledge of the industry. This new program will take full advantage of state-of-the-art facilities at Mercer Music at Capricorn and will commence in Fall 2026.
World Class Facilities
Students will be able to take full advantage of the studios, classrooms, and digital audio workstation labs at Mercer Music at Capricorn. This world-famous studio is a commercially working studio where students will be able to work alongside audio engineers, producers, and recording artists.
Specialized Curriculum
Each course in the Music Production degree has been developed to give the student the necessary background and depth of knowledge to prepare them for a career in the music industry. Knowing that this field is vast and ever-changing, courses have been designed to give real world experiences for the student, including an internship during their senior year.
Setting Your Path in the Music Industry
Throughout their studies, students will collaborate with Mercer’s talented students as well as faculty from the Townsend School of Music, the Stetson-Hatcher School of Business, and Mercer Music at Capricorn, including artists, engineers, producers, and managers who are currently working in the industry.
