Gail PollackUniversity Accompanist

Gail Leven Pollock holds two degrees from Mercer University:a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Music degree with a concentration in collaborative piano and church music. She also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia College and State University.

In addition to her duties as a Lecturer of Piano and University Accompanist at Mercer, she is the organist at Riverside United Methodist Church in Macon, the accompanist for the Mercer Children's Choir, and a published composer of over 30 organ, piano, and choral works for Shawnee Press, Warner Brother Publications, Abingdon Press, and Lorenz Music.

She has performed collaboratively as an organist at the Votivkirche in Vienna, St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, and on the 1800 Tannenberg organ in Old Salem, North Carolina; and as a pianist at the Rathaus in Vienna and with the Macon Symphony Orchestra for four seasons.She has accompanied a long and eclectic list of major choral works, from Handel's Messiah to Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb and Robert Ray's Gospel Mass.She is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP), the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and the American Guild of Organists (AGO), serving as Dean of the Macon chapter 2012 – 2014.
